The Unexpected son - hardcover
It was fun to collaborate with Ryan to bring his vision to life, and I ended up more involved with the production process of this title than I usually am. Our conversation about his book started when we nerded out on social media about how cool Folio Society books were, and Ryan, who was writing his memoir at the time, asked if I could help him produce something at that level of quality when his book was ready. And I said I would! When his book was ready, while him and the editor worked through the copy, I helped him source a printer that could produce a hardcover exactly like how he imagined it. The book was printed in Salt Lake City at Paragon Press and bound at Perfect Register.
With beautiful art from Cindy Bean, I designed the book guts, spine and back cover.
